Big Man Fails in Somersault Attempt

We are receiving reports that yesterday (Wednesday) a  big man, cycling somewhere in the region of Northern France, attempted an ambitious 360 degree somersault whilst mounted on a bike and driving into a ditch.

The man, believed to be Paul Edwards, Battery Sales Manager at Redditch based Steatite Ltd, sustained some damage to his bike, cuts to his arm and leg…and a bruised ego. The ditch appears to have survived the impact unharmed.

Bystanders who witnessed the incident commented that fortunately, the ditch was full of plants and shrubs that cushioned the man’s fall. Unfortunately, most of these were of the stinging nettle variety.

The man, apparantly also known as Pedalling Paul, was unavailable for comment and was last seen cycling towards the vicinity of the Loire Valley, sporting an unusual reddish orange complexion – which we can only assume is from the nettle stings he sustained in the fall.

More news as we get it.
